When I made the decision that I was going to be a writer, all I just had was the vision of the kind of writer I wanted to be.
I didn’t know any writer in Nigeria who was successful at the time, neither did I have a writing mentor. I just wanted to be a writer.
When I told my decision to some people, they were surprised. Some wondered what I saw in such a skill.
People wondered how I was going to become anything significant with such skill, but I was convinced about what I wanted to do.
Today, the story is different. I’m a proud writer and I have a registered writing and publishing firm in Lagos.
My company has worked with different professionals in various industries.
I have published books that have been sold internationally for clients.
Through my various training platforms, I have coached clients to get their books published and succeed with it.I have ghostwritten books for several prominents figures and I was highly paid.
My company TEBEBA, has published and printed books that was shipped to be sold mainly in abroad. This makes me an international publisher & printer.
We have also published book that was printed and sold in various countries.
I’ve raised a team of dedicated writers and creatives whose life have been transformed by joining my team.
I’m happily married with amazing sons.
All these and many more from the same skill that people wondered if I was going to be anything significant with it.
So what is the main point of this whole write up? Have a vision of where you want to be. All that I am now and all that I have achieved so far were just visions in those years.
But today, the visions have come to reality.
There is power in vision. When you have a great vision of where you want to be and you put in the necessary work, you will definitely get there.
It wasn’t a rosy journey getting here but everything is worth it. I’m grateful for where I am now because it’s far from where I was.
My vision today is greater than the vision I had five or ten years ago. Now I believe that in few years to come, I will definitely realize the vision I have today.
So do you have a vision of where you want to be? If you don’t have a vision of where you want to be five or ten years from now, it’s high time you wrote a vision for yourself.
