What happens to your car when you don’t refuel it? What happens to your generator when you don’t refuel it? Of course, your answer is as good as mine — the fuel burns out.
If you’re not constantly refueling yourself, you are doing yourself a big disfavor.
You won’t be able to drive your car if there isn’t an adequate fuel inside anymore than you will be able to use your generator if there isn’t enough fuel inside the tank.
For your car or generator to perform at its optimum level, you’ve got to keep refueling it. In the same vein, when you don’t refuel yourself as a person, you can never perform on your optimal level.
At times, many individuals think they’ve reached their limits, hence they feel there is nothing more to there lives, but that is not true. As long as you are still living, there is more to your life.
Why many of such people think so is because they fail to refuel themselves. When you fail to refuel yourself, you will feel empty and you will think there isn’t anything more to your life.
This is why it’s very dangerous for you to get to a point where you feel complacent. Sadly, this is the point many have gotten to today.
If you ask some people when last they paid for a course, attended a conference or bought a book, they won’t be able to answer you.
TAKE TIME TO REFUEL
A number of persons also feel it’s wasting of money to learn from another person. However, all these thoughts stem from a life that is not refueled.
One thing you must understand is this: no matter the height you reach in life, there is always room for improvement. You will never get to that point where there will be no need to refuel yourself.
This is exactly why the saying holds true: “learning is a continuous process.”
The day you stop learning is the very day you start dying.
When you see people invest huge amount of money in taking courses or buying books, you may literally think they are wasting money or they don’t have important things to use money for.
But what you don’t really know is that such people have discovered the true secret to stay relevant in life: learning!
To be a person of relevance, you’ve got to keep refueling yourself as it were.
Just like we need to keep refueling our car so that it can serve us well, we need to constantly refuel ourselves and keep ourselves updated on the various aspects of life.
If you need to learn a new skill, go ahead and do so. If you need to master a new strategy, go ahead and master it. If you need a new certificate, go ahead and get it. Quit procrastinating. Just do it!
In life, you must keep pushing yourself further and further till you reach the very top. Don’t join the bandwagon of those who mock learners, instead be an addicted learner yourself and your life will be full of abundance.
